Travel
If you are making arrangements to fly to camp, there are three major airports to choose from: Montreal, QC, Burlington, VT and Albany, NY. Each airport is about 2 1/2 hour from Lake Placid. In addition to the airports listed above, you may be able to find flights into the following small airports: Lake Clear is about 30 minutes away, and Plattsburgh, NY is a 50-minute ride. Lake Placid also provides a landing strip for small planes.
Arrival and Departure Time
Camp Registration will begin on Thursday mid afternoon in the hotel lobby. On Sunday, the final ice times and Closing Ceremony will be completed around noon.
You can arrange to check-in a day early or check-out a day later during your online registration.
Check-in & Opening Ceremony
At Thursday Registration you will receive your daily schedule, your personalized practice jerseys, matching socks, and your CAN/AM memento. Your coaches will be there to introduce themselves, speak about the curriculum for the weekend, and answer any of your questions. After the staff introductions, it will be your turn to take 30 seconds to introduce yourself!
Prior to the first ice time, campers and coaches will head over to the Olympic Complex. You can head over by car or on foot, the rink is just a short walk from the camp hotel. Arrive early and you can stake out your own space. Once you settle into your locker room, your coaches will set the tone for the week and lead you onto the ice.
After the ice session, you will have the flexibility of leaving your equipment in our secure locker room.
